would you like door one, door two or door three.....

This week was all about the doors...

This is door one..and one ugly door left by former homeowners...Not only is it ugly brown but they didn't tape the glass off when they painted so there was brown paint all over....gross..

And this is door number three...well...actually door opening number three..
So Rich started making a mess doing this...

And I started to paint the master bathroom door...

By the end of the first day we had this...

this door leads to the airlock..then there is another doorway to the outside.
and this,.

Look...a door on the master bath!!  So exciting... both bathrooms now have doors...Our guests will be very happy...

And no...I didn't miscount or forget door number two..  This is it..our outside door.  Some of the siding had to be removed during installation, but it has all been replaced...

And then we started working on the crown moulding..  The living room and kitchen had crown moulding already installed and we took a piece and went to every hardware store, box store and anywhere we could think of to try and match it.  We got close, but not an exact match.  I don't think anyone but us will notice..well, and now all of you if/when you come to visit... do me a favor..don't mention it..

We started to put it up, but I guess I didn't get a photo...will try to remember next week..

This Cardinal kept stealing the cat food...

I used these tools...

to install two sets of locks on the front door and the entry door..

We got the rest of the base board down in the master bath

This is a sneak peak at the floor we are putting down...in about 3 weeks...hopefully with help...
And this cat might be preggers...and if she is? she is gone to the shelter along with the kittens.  I can't have four cats and then four kittens and then they become cats and have more kittens..and pretty soon I am the crazy cat lady on the gravel road and people are driving by and staring...

If that cat is pregnant, be very careful if you manage to catch her. Feral cats can behave very badly when humans try to pick them up...and you surely don't want to get scratched by her. I do know they have something called "have a heart" traps and if you get her in there, you don't have to be touching her when you cart her off to the shelter. As for the crown moulding, we'll be too busy in your sewing room when (if) I visit for me to notice that!

now I can't imagine why you didn't want to keep that beautiful brown door......lol....Hmm the cat lady, that really doesn't sound like you.

In our neighborhood... we "had" a "cat lady"... mind you she probably had around 12 cats!!! Her backyard fence had chicken wire kind of curled towards the yard to keep the cats in it... I must say when she finally left! Her next door neighbors were rejoicing!!! Sad, but true! Let's just say that well... when you walked by the place it had a very, very, unapealing smell to it! Now it's a rental... and it seems that people don't stay very long! I can imagine that if the carpet wasn't taken out... that that would be a drawback!
Poor little puddie cats... hopefully someone will take them in! We don't want you becoming the "crazy cat lady"... One cat is sweet.... but not 20!
Great job with the doors... and really... you don't like the "brown door"? Soooo sad... someone will take that in too I suspect! LoL....
It's looking good! The crown molding will look sooo nice too! I can't believe all that you two have been gotten done! What a change!

Door #1 is gone.....thank goodness!!!

You have done such wonderful things to this house which will soon be your home, I'm guessing. Do you have a move-in date scheduled?

Good luck with the cats.

Behind door #1 is an amazing transformation! How many new skills have you learned in this project or are you a seasoned pro???
Love your red guest. The cat....well good luck with that. I bet she is preggers and thinks she has a pretty good home now.
