some little projects...

Today is MLK day.. which means that Rich has the day off.  Last night we ran into Columbia, had dinner and bought some goodies at Lowe's..  Of course that means that today the tools came out... drill, screwdriver, saw, tape measure, pencil...

First up is a little help in the sewing room.  In the other house we had a tall white cabinet in the garage..It held some crap, stuff, important items that we decided could be stored somewhere else.  So I tried to help carry it had Rich and Ryan schlep it up the stairs...

see?  not ready yet!

Let's add some strips of white wood...

three strips on each side..

add some white peg board and I now have a place for all my quilting rulers...

circle cutters on the other side...I must really like circle cutters since I have two...

and some of my specialty rulers..
But that's not all we did...

This is the back hallway ...  This window faces the front of the house..

and the laundry room... what a mess!!  AND

this is the view from the front porch!

YEA!!  New blinds...
And this is the view NOW from the front porch...

and the back hallway window...

From the inside!

and from the outside!!

What a great idea for the rulers etc.
The blinds look good. Have fun adding all the finishing touches.

Wish I could figure a good way to store my rulers....I often forget which ones I HAVE. The blinds all look very nice, too.

Love the super great idea with the rulers on the side of the cabinet. Good thinking! Love the blinds as well, makes everything so nice and tidy!

Have a super great day!

I'm so jealous! I want a a peg board in my sewing room but would have to take something down to have one. Decisions like that are agonizing! blessings, marlene

Yeah.... I want to see you operate those circle cutters... you know, one in each hand... which direction would you be going to get them each to work at the same time... This is a test...
DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! LoL...
Everything is looking so nice... nothing like fresh paint and the smell of new wood to make a girl feel giddy and happy to be in the sewing room!
